At Bristol is an amazing interactive experience located in the city centre near the harbour.
This attraction really does offer access for all visitors and there are a wide variety of interactive exhibits.
Our researchers were particularly impressed with the virtual goldfish pool that was projected on to the floor. When wheeling or walking across this, visitors can hear and see the 'water' react to their disturbance of the surface as it ripples and the fish swim away.
Many of the buttons and controls can be used by people with limited manual dexterity.
Some of the exhibits that demonstrate vibration and sound would be excellent for people with visual impairment.
We were unable to visit the planetarium on our visit as it was closed for maintenance but it does have wheelchair access and designated spaces.
The centre is a run as a Charity and it is possible for groups of people with disabilities (that may have limited funding) to apply for a grant towards entrance fees.
