Find Accommodation near 'Spring Heath Fishery'

Spring Heath is owned and run by David Tonkinson who is a keen fisherman and also a permanent wheelchair user. The site has two lakes situated within 10 acres of low lying meadow and woodland. One lake is dedicated to coarse fishing and the other is a carp specimen lake.,

Since taking over the site David has greatly improved its accessibility by creating new parking and putting in ramps for the bridges on to the coarse lake islands and to the summer house.

At the present time there is now wheelchair access to a large number of the fishing platforms however his plans for the site include improving access to all fishing platforms by creating a new road at the rear of the lakes.

Visitors to the site do not have to book in on arrival but are advised to set up first and wait for the owners to come and collect the fee. For a first visit please contact the fishery beforehand.

The car park which has a coarsely gravelled surface has been extended to allow closer access to the lakeside however manual wheelchair users and people with limited ambulant ability are able to park closer to the fishing platforms if they need to do so.

Please check out their own website for more information including current day and evening rates.

For people wishing to stay at Spring Heath there are 5 caravan and camper pitches at the site and a fully accessible 3 bed-roomed log cabin will be available in a few weeks time.
