Find Accommodation near 'Tacla Taid Transport and Agriculture Museum'

Tacla Taid is located in beautiful countryside near Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey. It has a large collection of cars and agricultural vehicles as well as motor bikes and other transport related memorabilia.

The collection is housed  in a large building against a back drop of a 1940's cobbled street scene and is open 7 days a week from  Easter to October (10.30 - 5.30).

There is separate external access (via a hard surfaced path) for wheelchair users to the agricultural and commercial section.

The motorbikes are displayed on a mezzannine area overlooking the main area and can be accessed via a flight of wide tread steps. A stair lift has also been installed to assist visitors with limited mobility (and who can transfer) to be able access this area.

The wealth of transport on display will evoke memories of 'days gone bye' for many visitors and this attraction would make an ideal subject for reminiscence outings for groups of older people.

By special arrangement for visitors with disabilities who are able to transfer it may be possible to arrange to sit in one of the vehicles please ring the museum for further information.

New for 2011 will be an exhibiton of engines located in a separate building on site.
