Find Accommodation near 'Bruce Branch (Canal Boat Skippered Day Trips)'

The Bruce Branch (part of the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust) is a registered charity who hire specially designed and purpose built wide-beam canal boats. Operating from a base on the Kennet and Avon Canal they offer self catering holidays for people with disabilities, disadvantaged or elderly people and their carers and when not on weekly hire the boats are available for skippered day trips.

Each of the boats can carry up to 12 passengers and run out of the Great Bedwyn wharf. Dependent on the direction you choose you can either cruise through the beautiful Wiltshire or Berkshire countryside.

The skipper and three crew are included in the hire cost, as is tea and coffee. Groups are required however to bring their own lunch with enough extra to feed the four crew members.

Trips start at 10am returning to the wharf at 4pm.

Participation in helming and lock work is actively encouraged and is open to everyone as there are no specific physical attributes required!

As we mentioned above the Trusts boats are also available for weekly hire, click here to visit their accommodation listing and find out more.

Please note the address given above is the Wharf in which the boats are based and used for our database search purposes only the Trust's main contact address is :-
