The Spaceguard Centre is situated at the end of a country lane high in the hills above Knighton. It is an observatory that monitors the paths of Near Earth Objects. Extremely informative guided tours around the centre are available on Wednesdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays throughout the year. For times and booking please check out their website.
This attraction is a must for anyone who has an interest in astonomy. Most of the centre is easily accessed but please note there is no access to the large telescope for non ambulant wheelchair users. The dedicated enthusiasm of the tour guide makes visiting a very worthwhile experience.
Due to the steeply sloping site from the car park to the entrance manual wheelchairs will need to be accompanied by an able companion.
