Find Accommodation near 'Kent and East Sussex Railway'

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is a heritage light railway that runs between Tenterden in Kent and Bodiam in East Sussex. The line winds through the beautiful countryside of the Rother Valley for ten and a half miles.

There is ramped access on to the train and good space for wheelchair  users and their companions within the accessible carriage.

Contacting the railway before your planned journey if you have easier access needs will assist to ensure the best possible visitor experience.

Our researchers travelled from Bodiam to Tenterden and back and found the members of the railway staff on duty that day to be very helpful and friendly.

Please note that there is not step free access to the ticket office at Bodiam.

Passengers wishing to extend their day out can break their journey by alighting at Northiam station and on production of their railway ticket will benefit from a reduced entrance fee into the nearby, extremely interesting Toy and Pedal Car Museum.
