David James, Chief Executive of Visit Peak District & Derbyshire remarked “We are delighted that David and Felicity have received a Gold award for their outstanding commitment to providing high quality holidays for all. It is a true reflection of their drive for excellence that they been recognised at national level, at the very top level of what they do”.

David and Felicity Brown are both passionate about their self catering holiday business and creating a positive experience for all their guests. The judges were impressed by the range of accessible specialist equipment provided, including a mobile hoist and electric profile beds, and the flexibility of the furniture which could be rearranged or removed to suit individual guests needs.
Felicity commented, “Guests love the easy access and contemporary “home from home” feel of our cabins. I believe that this together with our emphasis on quality, and being actively environmentally friendly is the reason why so many guests return”
David added “It is wonderful for our extra efforts to be recognised at a national level. We are extremely proud to have won the Access for All category, particularly as we are a small family run business competing against some multi million pound enterprises.”
The 4 star self catering holiday business was set up in 2006 and from the beginning access for all was an important element. Hoe Grange also caters for families, walkers and horse riders, providing stabling and grazing so guests can bring their own horse on holiday to access local off road trails. Hoe Grange are founder members of the new Peak District Electric Bicycle Network and this season have two bikes for hire for their holiday guests.
