Full Story

In the past this has meant that for some wheelchair users and people with limited mobility, accessing all the farm areas may have been a little challenging. In order to improve these visitors experience of this fascinating attraction, a tramper vehicle has been purchased. It must be pre-booked before your visit and a deposit of your car keys or a similar valuable will be required. Following a short introduction and assessment to ensure visitors are comfortable with its use, it is now possible to access many more areas of the site with greater ease. A map showing the scooter routes will also be available.

The tramper has been specifically designed with a wide wheelbase to make it stable on uneven surfaces and our researcher found it easy and safe to use. For more information about access at Acton Scott and a link to their website please click here
