Fraser's Personal Experience of Paintballing

Fraser at Rednall Paintball Arena

When I arrived at Rednal airfield I was very surprised about the layout of the place. I didn't expect it to look like a battleground with derelict buildings. I was also surprised by the amount of padding and the protective helmet, I hadn't realised what paintballing involved. I did need assistance from someone pushing to get around the site as I needed to concentrate on firing the gun.

Despite the padding it did hurt a bit when I got hit. I managed to fire the gun ok even though I only have good use of one hand. When I got the hang of it and the adrenalin kicked in it was great fun. I would really love to go again and would recommend it to other wheelchair users.

The people at the site were very friendly and helpful and that made it more enjoyable.

If people doubt that you can go paintballing with a wheelchair then they only have to look at my photograph on this website to see that you can.
