Holiday Information for People with Easy Access Needs
Disabled Holiday Information has now closed.
The Trustees and committee members would like send our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported and worked with us over the past 17 years.
Sometimes we have found the research hard work and it was often carried out in very wet weather but we have had lots of fun and visited a wide variety of interesting and beautiful places. Some of us have done amazing things such as water-skiing and gliding, reinforcing our ethos that opportunities do exist to enhance life experience and in turn health and wellbeing regardless of individual ability. We have also met many people along the way who have inspired us and enriched our lives.
It would be great to think that after almost two decades the need for specific accessibility related information was no longer necessary but sadly we know this ideal still has a long way to go.
Just because our information is no longer available we would strongly encourage you to persevere with your own research, as there are some excellent accommodations, attractions and activities out there who do cater for visitors with easier access requirements.
The following six short videos of our researchers in action will remain on youtube. We have posted their links here in the hope that they will continue to provide inspiration and leave a little reminder of who Disabled Holiday Information were.
